The field split
with the pack on the flat side leading early but being swamped by the outside horses.
North Boy proved far too good coming down the grandstand side to score convincingly for
his fourth win from four starts. The Bart Cummings trained Ustinov, who is out of Let's Elope, ran on very well for second with the
filly Malagra Miss coming in third. North Boy is obviously very smart with Damien Oliver
saying the horse is much like his famous half-brother Northerly.
