Another race with
not alot of pace early, this event turned into an exciting finish with many horses in
contention with 200m to go. Classic Benbara proved too strong for his rivals but had to
dig deep to hold out the fast finish of The Fatz with Murphy's Magic battling away well on
the rails to hold third. There was only 1 & 1/2 lengths covering the first seven home.
The Melbourne Cup runner Celestial Show ran a creditable sixth.
