It was a beautiful sunny day at Caulfield for the first birthday of the re-naming of the Melbourne Racing Club (formerly the Victoria Amateur Turf Club), which saw the running of the Group 3 Rubiton Stakes. The sprint was taken out by Super Elegant, well ridden by Vincent Hall, from the fast finishing three-year-old Azevedo.
