Moonee Valley - Lone Star Oaks Day - 24/03/01 Race 6 Anthea Crawford Trophy |
|
The early lead was taken up by Enchanting Rose who crossed the field and was allowed to have her own way in front until the 600m when the runs came from Split The Wind, Zazzman and widest of all Adolescence. The big gelding went around all horses and hit the lead as they turned for home. He held off all challengers in the straight as he came down the centre of the track reminding everyone of the huge Ingham horse Holy Roller who won the Waterford Crystal Mile on this track a few years ago. Rum and Fire Alert ran on well for second and third respectively. | |
