The punters got it
right in the sixth despite many people thinking the odds on Spying being a little skinny.
He settled at the rear of the field then charged down the centre of the track and appeared
set for a big win but when he reached the lead he seemed to stargaze. The Queensland
gelding Charlie Chops closed hard for second but was never going to win. The old timer
Royal Caliph ran a great third first up.
