This was another great race down the Flemington straight with all horses coming down the grandstand side of the track. There were many chances with 100 to go, when Superforce burst clear of the pack to win well. There was a protest lodged by the rider of the second horse Brocard which was dismissed. Oamaru Rhythm came in third.
