The fillies division of the Blue Diamond Prelude was a contest between some smart Sydney and Melbourne fillies and the West Australian filly Magic Heaven. Donna Natalia showed great speed to lead from the start with the John Hawkes trained Faiza sitting on her outside. Turning for home Faiza went straight past Donna Natalia (who faded for fourth) and won easily in good time. The giant and aptly named filly Titanic Rose ran on well for second and the WA filly ran a respectable third.
