A good early pace
set up this race for the backmarkers and as they turned for home it was anyone's race as
they spread across the track. Amalfi went to the front and looked set to win but was
swamped in the last 50m by the outside pack of horses with Spitz scoring by a neck. Amalfi
held on for second from Tarcoola Midnight third with Blueing The Blues and
Circumnavigating not far behind in the centre of the track.
