Reckabar went out
to a big lead ensuring a genuine pace with Rockin' Star having the tough task of giving
chase. The horses with cover would always be hard to beat and Passing Shot was given the
run of the race by Brendan Fenech. He took the shortest path home which proved the
difference with his only challenger Bush Padre having to go around the whole field.
Passing Shot won by 3/4 of a length from the fast finishing Bush Padre with Rockin' Star
holding on well for third.
