This
listed event saw the return to racing of True Jewels, the 2001 Blue Diamond winner, and La
Lagune who finished second to her in that event. The latter filly prevailed this time with
True Jewels a little disapponting. Another great ride from Damien Oliver saw La Lagune
pounce on the leaders after entering the straight and hold off all challenges in the final
stages from Visage (second) and Firm (third) who had no luck after being severley checked
at the 700m.
