This race saw the
return of the smart gelding Mr. Murphy but he failed to handle the conditions. Roktzar
gave Nash Rawiller and Len Treloar the first leg of a winning double by jumping well and
holding a forward position then sprinting clear in the straight. Point Danger ran on well
for second and Garcon Bleu battled on for third.
