The pace was on from the start so Greg Childs eased Sunline to sit fourth
on the rails in a beautiful position. He moved her around the leaders on the home turn and
she responded by sprinting clear to win easily. Piavonic ran on well for second but had
every chance and the stayer Rum closed fast for third. There still seems to be plenty of
improvement in Sunline with her ultimate aim a third Cox Plate in late October.
