This event is
named in honour of the great mare Let's Elope who
won the Caulfield-Melbourne Cups double in 1991. Flushed was successful at very good odds
after having the box seat early in the race and dashing clear in the straight after
getting a rails run. Miss Power Bird ran a great race for second having a tougher run from
her wide barrier and Lolita Star ran on very well for third in a nice first up effort.
