The field split
again in the "straight six" with the outside having the upper hand resulting in
the Queenslander Scenic Peak scoring having stuck to the outside rail. It was the biggest
success to date for the young apprentice Rhys McLeod. Calm Smytzer and Dash for Cash
dead-heated for second. Good runs by the horses following included Show A Heart, Fubu and
Le Zagaletta.
