| This open sprint
over 1000m provided a huge upset with the 40/1 shot The Mooksta leading all the way to
score a convincing win by 1 and 1/4 lengths. He was allowed to bowl along in front
unchallenged and at the 400m young Rhys McLeod had him skip away from the field and set up
a winning break. Kapuna ran on well from near last for second with Ulricho third.
