| This race for
fillies and mares three year old and up has been changed from the Diamond Jubilee Stakes
to the Sunline Stakes in honour of the great mare who has won the last two W.S.Cox Plates.
Kaemess led in this 1600m event until down the side when Shelbourne Lass moved up three
wide to challenge. Just behind her was Flushed who had tracked the grey and widest of all
was Calm Smytzer who had settled at the rear of the field early. In the straight Flushed
went passed Shelbourne Lass and went away to win from Calm Smytzer (second) who looked a
chance but couldn't finish off the race. Shelbourne Lass battled on well for third.
