This race brought
together more quality two year olds, the fillies joining the males for a keen contest down
the "straight six". The impressive looking colt Ebony Night dashed clear at the
400m but faded into fourth as Damien Oliver dashed clear on Malagra Miss to win by 3 1/4
lengths. Tuscanos ran well for second and Gold Lottey came in third.
