This was a middle
distance event for three year olds and was taken out by the former kiwi Torlesse ridden by
Damien Oliver giving him a treble for the day and an incredible seven winners for the long
weekend at Flemington. Torlesse is obviously above average and beat Big Pat by 3/4 of a
length with Duelling another length and a 1/4 back in third place.
