Super Impressive broke through the gates before they jumped but was quickly controlled by Aaron Spiteri. The pace was on in this race which suited Super Impressive who settled at the rear of the field. He came down the centre of the track to overhaul Slipstream (second) and Jiver (third) who looked set to fight out the finish after they dashed clear at the 200. The winner is related to the great Super Impose through his dam and should win more races. .
