This was a great contest with Logical Reason prevailing right on the line after it looked as though Saladancer (third) then Scenic Torque (third) would win at different stages in the home straight. Damien Oliver had ridden Logical Reason midfield with cover and showed great patience to time his run to perfection grabbing the pacemakers in the shadows of the post.
