A big crowd
turned out at Caulfield on Sunday to see many of the spring stars in action including the
new sensation from WA Northerly. We also had many of the best three year olds in Australia
contesting the lead up races to the Guineas', Oaks and Derby. Add to that many potential
Cup horses in the Group 1 Underwood and in the Listed Naturalism Stakes and an excellent
field in the Group 1 Eat Well Live Well Cup and we had a fantastic day's racing in store.
Northerly again stole the show with a gutsy win in the Underwood but left his trainer Fred
Kersley still wondering which race next?
